Woah.... it's been a long time since I've posted a new blog.
*dusts of blog account*
Things that have happened since last blog:
1. Went to Planetshakers Conference in Melbourne (which would have to be the highlight of this year!)
2. Started year 12.
3. Influencers Conference in April/May?
4. Turned 18.
5. Left year 12.
So, I've left year 12 because I wasn't coping with the large amount of stress and work. And also I'm moving to Melbourne as of end of January 2007 to do a Internship at a church in Melbourne. Currently looking for a part time or casual job to start saving for my accomodation and course fees (which has to be paid by November!).
The job searching is getting there gradually, I had a short interview at Harris Scarfe last week and they said it'd take about 2-3 weeks to get back to me. I've been applying at various places, going to alterate a few things on my resume then send it out to 3 phone shop and Royal Adelaide Show, whom are looking for workers.
It feels a bit odd not being at school, but there is definitely a sense of freedom and relief. But doesn't mean I'm going to slack off. I am still volunteering as a leader in the youth ministry at my church, and have to do a few more things around the house as I am at home more often.
I got an email from Planetshakers a few months ago about variuos things going on, including next year's conference:
"Planetshakers Conference 2007 is fast approaching and we have some exciting news to break!! THIS JANUARY
we will be in 3 MASSIVE venues in 3 AWESOME cities; Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth….
For those of you who are in South Australia and NSW this is an amazing opportunity to band together with your fellow state buddies and take a road trip to either Perth, Melbourne or Brisbane…. Over the years these trips have been an opportunity for people to build meaningful relationships (2 marriages have come from a bus trip to PS!!) and stir excitement and expectation for what God will do in you and through you during the conference. For all those youth leaders needing a hand with transport and accommodation, your state co-ordinator will contact you about some incredible deals we have in the pipe-line or you could contact the Planetshakers office for all the information you need.
Some of you may wonder why Planetshakers have decided to consolidate the conference back to three venues. Well, after much prayer and consideration of all the Planetshakers commitments, including the running of Planetshakers City Church and international tours, we know this decision will ensure Planetshakers runs a high quality event in all locations.
Planetshakers is dedicated to empowering this generation to win a generation and we are positioning ourselves to be able to more effectively fulfil the call God has placed upon our ministry. Our desire is to love God and obey him. We know Planetshakers Conference 07 is going to be the biggest and best yet and we can’t wait to see you there. We are soexcited about what God is going to do across this nation in January 2007."
Anyways, at it says... planetshakers won't be in Adelaide next year, but that's all good because that means I can go to Melbourne again. Which will be a ball! I absolutely can't wait till it comes around, it's only 5 months away.
That brings me to the end of another blog entry, a rather large one too. :P
Goodbye my freiends... and till next time: don't forget to stay kay-tastic!
